Being unable instantly satisfy my hunger is a very new feel. Recently I have been trying to really budget my spending. After a quick calculation i determined that i have about an dollar a day for food. Though it seems to be ridiculous and not possible to stay within that budget I'm trying. I haven't spent money on drinks of any kind, or food that is not made at home. Even groceries are impossible on a $30 a month budget, so Hiroko has been helping me a whole lot. I've been going to Hiroko's to make food. Though its not easy to live in this kind of style, in a odd way I appreciate the position I'm in. I am able to understand the feeling of actually being hungry and have come to realize how little we actually can live on. I also came to realize all the luxury that we take for granted. Example, even though a soda cost only $1a period of a year it can run up to 250 dollars. So why do we spend so much money on it? it can be a cheap bike, an ipod, food for another month, etc. Through all this Hiroko has been by my side. I really love her for this. She is the best. Hopefully I won't be in this flip side for too long and thank God for teaching me new things.

Shopping is just so fun.. however .. i was on a mission. I was on a very tough mission. To find awesome deals while staying within my very tight budget contraint. Today we woke up groggy on the concrete floor of REI's patio area. We camped out the night before to secure our spot within the first five shoppers to rush the REI Shipwreck Sale. It was such an aweome time. Hiroko was able to get two awesome jackets for 50 dollars and i was able to get my brother a tekking pole. Many APU students were there to join us in the festivities. Hiroko, Josh, Aaron, and I then went to San Deigo area for the Prana Sale. Oooh. yea.. ooh.. great sales.

This weekend Sara, Shino and I took a group from APU to Half Dome. This was my 4th summit within a year. Man.. who'd would have thought that I'd summit Half Dome 4 times in one year. The funniest thing is that every time I'm on the hike I swear it will be my last time. I don't like to hike or walk. However in that last 365 days, 4 times I summited it and every time I get to the top I am blown away by the beauty of God's creation. I didn't take as much picture this time because i felt that i've posted plenty of picture online already. This time was a bit harder than normal because I was sick.. who got me sick? I'm not to sure.. probably Jordy.. but its okay.. it make it a bit more challenging.

We kicked this weekend off with Santa Monica's Critical Mass Ride. Josh, Hiroko, Michael and Diana went with me to the ride. We had a good time.. A bit more breaks that we would have liked but never the less we had great time hanging out together. After the ride we had dinner at this Caribbean place, awesome food. That night me and Hiroko drove down to san diego to hang out with Ernest over the weekend. "OUR" plan was to hang out there on saturday with ernest and leave mid sunday, however God has his own plan. Saturday we spent our time at the beach surfing and chilling at Pacific Beach (PB). When Sunday came around God started his plan. This was first revealed when I could not find my keys to my car. Me, Hiroko, and Earnest searched everywhere. The rooms, the cars, the packs etc. EVERYWHERE!.. after not being able to find it I decided to just get a duplicate at the dealer.. but hey.. guess what. After arrival I learned that their parts and service department are closed on sundays and will not be open till monday. So we spent our time surfing some more and chilled out around downtown seattle at night. This morning we got up.. got to the dealer.. made a duplicate.. and another random thing happened Hiroko ended up buying a car. .. so because of a lost key.. we had an extra 2 day of relaxation and a new car. ooh.. and heres the kicker. When I get back.. I find the key in a pack that I already looked twice in. keep in mind that my keys aren't a small set and they are connected to a carabiner. Me and Hiroko just laughed. How God is so funny.

Once again I got the ugly end of the school scheduling system. One of my crucial classes got canceled which means I must rearrange my schedule to take that class. The only time they offer another section of that class is 8:20am. Which means I have a random 5 hour wait till my next class. well maybe it can be used as a rest or study/homework time. Oh well.. thing happen.

This weekend has been a good last bit of fun before school starts. On saturday Me, Hiroko, Josh, and James Tai went to Keller Peak to camp and climb. We had a good time on the Hang Over Wall. There was this one 11b that gave me some trouble but i was finally able to dial it down after a couple tries. This last week I also started covering Ni at the range for a few weeks. So i'm working tuesdays and thursdays. It is nice because its only for 3 weeks and I can get a little bit of side income. Wednesday is the official first day of school. I can already feel the pressure for this year. 15 units of class that i'm hoping to get almost straight A's in and an awesome outdoor program that I must help run. On top of that I need to start planning my future. When do i propose? How will i Make enough money? or should i say how do i pay off my debt. How to I graduate on time and take pre-med classes? So many questions.. that I need answers too. God, please show me the way.
